Position Summary:
The role involves overseeing daily operations, including shipping coordination, documentation management, and customer interaction. Responsibilities encompass ensuring compliance, resolving issues, and proposing improvements. Additionally, tasks include customer engagement, invoice handling, and file management.
Key responsibilities:
Operations Tasks:
Efficiently handle daily tasks within operations procedures.
Send shipping advice to overseas stations.
Interface with subcontractors.
Manage file opening, closing, and archiving.
Check shipping documents and process in Forwarder Systems.
Monitor customs clearance and coordinate with related parties.
Follow up on deliveries to customers.
Send Pre-Alerts to customers.
Follow up with carriers for cargo delivery.
Report irregularities to the manager and suggest improvements.
Able to do procurement, up selling services/ products.
Customer Interaction:
Follow up on customer shipment advice and feedback.
Provide market information for quotations.
Check, verify, and update documents in the system.
Collaborate with local and overseas offices.
Provide pre-claim details to customers.
Manage incidents, inquiries, complaints, and claims, verify, and post incoming invoices.
Handle customer statistics and reports.
Close files in the company system.
Undertake additional tasks as assigned
Job Requirement & Competencies:
Min 3 years experience in the Logistics/ Freight forwarding industry is preferable.
Knowledge of local and overseas customs and regulations is an advantage.
Graduated bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Effective communication skills either written or spoken English.
Good Microsoft skills
Ability to oversee daily operations and ensuring efficiency.
Able to handle complex customer interactions, resolve escalated issues, and manage critical documents.
Ability to demonstrate initiative, critical thinking skills, and the ability to work independently.
